Who we are

Fontnook (fontnook.com) is operated by Sehal Shakeel, who also writes and edits the site's content. You can read more on the About page. This page explains what personal data the site handles and why.

The text you type

Never leaves your browser. There is no server processing involved in turning your text into a styled version — it all happens on your own device with JavaScript. We have no way of seeing what you type, and we don't try to.

Favorites and recently used styles

Saved using your browser's local storage, on your device only. The same goes for your light or dark mode choice. Clearing your browser data or using a different browser or device will not carry them over. There is no account system.

Contact form

If you send us a message through Contact Us, we collect the name, email address and message you type. We use this only to read and reply to your message, because you asked us to get in touch. The form is processed by Formspree, which delivers your message to us by email and stores it on its servers, which may be located in the United States. We never sell your information, and we keep messages only as long as needed to respond to you.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not currently use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. If that changes in the future, this page will be updated to reflect it.

Fonts and hosting

Fontnook loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google's servers when a page opens. Google's use of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which, like any web host, may process technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Children's privacy

Fontnook is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

You can ask us to access or delete any message or personal information you sent us through the contact form. Send the request through the Contact Us and we'll respond as soon as we can.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this site handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top.
